How to wash girls shorts, in order to avoid stiffness and reduced size?

Always check the care label attached to the shorts before washing. However, a few guidelines to avoid stiffness and shrinkage in girls’ shorts is to use a gentle detergent that doesn’t damage the fabric, avoid using fabric softeners, wash inside out to prevent surface damage and let the shorts air dry as the tumble dryer’s heat can shrink the shorts.
